Risk Assessment
The purpose of a risk assessment is to analyse and make ourselves aware of some of the risks that we could overcome when filming our music video. We have to be aware of the back up plans we have incase anything was to go wrong with the resolutions of our risks. We also have to be aware of the risks that could happen as we would have to bring certain things for if we was to overcome any problems. For example a first aid kid and a bucket of water to cool down any burns from the sparklers.
Whilst filming for our music video we tried to follow our risk management schemes as much as possible to ensure we didn't encounter any implications whilst filming. A problem that we encountered whilst filming was the weather. When filming in the forest and field the weather was a huge implication as our artist and the camera crew was extremely cold and this had an impact on the way she performed to the camera. The artist looked extremely uncomfortable and freezing cold which portrayed in the shots we were filming. This made the quality of the shots look very unprofessional and messy. Therefore we had to leave filming on this particular day and schedule to film on a day were it would be warmer and more comfortable for the artist to film and express herself in a way that was conventional to the genre.
We have learnt by having a risk assessment that all the implications that we came across had a management and we could overcome it with ease. It also made us more aware of the implications that we could come across and this helped us to be more aware of the equipment we needed to avoid these as much as possible. For example, everyone that was scheduled to film the field scenes wrapped up with many layers, coats and gloves to ensure they would be warm whilst we filmed in the field.
You have provided a sound recount of your risk assessment, explaining the purpose of it as well as providing the example of the detailed table that you completed in preparation for filming.
ReplyDeleteYou need to:
1) Explain in more detail what was/wasn't followed and how the risk assessment helped you consider different issues that you may not have thought about before
2) Explain the purpose of the different columns within the risk assessment and how it helped you structure your plans
3)Check the positioning of your table as it is coming across your blogger info
